You are right, after reinstalling Rcpp and wordcloud I was able to build the package. However, I have removed the function contributions_wc and the two dependencies wordcloud and RColorBrewer. I think that the code works better as a very good example how the package can be used. Worked great to rebuild README.md with the Makefile

Good idea. I agree that wordcloud and RColorBrewer should not be dependencies. I realized that yesterday. It just bloats the package whose functionality should be low level. I'll rework the readme a little bit more and also update the Makefile for better syntax highlighting.

Should we start listing out new features to add, and issues that need to be fixed before getting a version to CRAN? We can link them all to a milestone and also start fleshing out ideas for a blog post.

I think your suggested approach to list features and issues that need to be fixed before submitting to CRAN is a great idea.
