Hi @karthik , I have fixed the solaris configuration. However, I don't have access to that system to test it. Do you have access to solaris or know someone who can help us to test if it works?

I think the simplest way to check the package is to use git and make and run the following:

$ git clone https://github.com/ropensci/git2r.git
$ cd git2r
$ make check

It fails to compile without openssl support, see http://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_git2r.html.
