Emailed Tim Robertson to ask if they can change the API so that you can do scientificname=a,b
instead. Will see what he says.
Another problem is that if you set maxresults
the API gives you back e.g., 100 records on species A, with none on species B!!!! What!? This is definitely not the expected behavior from a user's persepctive (or mine for that matter).
Anyway, so can perhaps support multiple param values for some params right away, and others later.
from rgbif.
This doesn't seem worth doing because the returned objects aren't user friendly, and you'd have to pull down more data than needed to get what you want
from rgbif.
