Could you please explain in the little more details how exactly this freeze looks like? See it.
What CPU load do you have on each of your 4 cores?

And do you have enabled debug mode in plugin?

About 25% of CPU load.

i.e. one core has 100% load, so bottleneck is there...

if you disable debug mode is it works better?

All my cpus are working.
The debug mode doesn't impact this behaviour.
And i have no freezes with the vlc plugin.

Edit: works better with network-caching to default value, i was set to 300... And i wasn't set it when i used vlc plugin...

I'm a trying to view a real time stream, but the "buffer" parameter seems to have no effect.

I didn't mean you have broken CPU or something similar, I mean some algorithms could not use multiple cores at the same time, and then you will have 100% load on one CPU core and ~0% load on all others. And you will have bottleneck in performance of one core, no matter how many cores you have (but don't say it's your case, just one possible reason)

@desmat92 Are you sure the "buffer" parameter doesn't work for you? I tried:

And it correctly adds "network-catching" to the object tag, the video is also clearly loading a lot slower.

@RSATom : i wanted to say that the 25% was departed on the 4 cores, and no one is at 100%.
Trying an other test, with a "live" stream mpegts over udp and a "vod" stream mp4. And after i close this issue

@jaruba : if the "buffer" parameter add "network-caching" to the object tag, then i'm going to have the same problem, So i left the default value.
