Double check your wiring. Make sure the TX pin is connected to the TX pin you defined for the transceiver. I think I may need to boost the length of time that the prog button emits. Right now it sends 4 beats but it may need to send more during the pair. I will put together a release for this this week.

But please re-check your wiring and lets make sure the TX is correctly set up.

Tried a couple of different pins and found PIN14 on my NodeMCU to be working for TX. It paired instantly!

Thanks for reporting back I will make a note of that for NodeMCU. The pinouts are hard to nail down. Just because the ESP32 docs say a pin is ok to use, it doesn't mean that it is ok to use because when they put the chip on the board they steal some pins for other supporting items.
