I'm trying to commit using grunt-git it's telling me that

Running "gitcommit:task" (gitcommit) task
Warning: fatal: Unable to create 'D:/myproject/.git/index.lock': File exists.

If no other git process is currently running, this probably means a
git process crashed in this repository earlier. Make sure no other git
process is running and remove the file manually to continue. Use --force to continue.

That's a problem with your git, not with grunt-git. Try removing that
lockfile.
