Just tried a fresh install at home and got the same thing after "rvm get head":

fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
There has been an error while trying to checkout the source branch.
Halting the installation.
There has been an error fetching the ruby interpreter. Halting the installation.
There has been an error while trying to install from source.
Halting the installation.

I'm experiencing the same problem as of this morning. Any ideas as to what might be going on?
