I noticed this issue and wanted to add a comment.

I agree that this batch labeling feature would be excellent. Also the gallery window should scroll up and down, I think it steps side-to-side currently.

Their should be an ROI gallery view as well. This gallery would only show the ROI's not the full image. You should be able to batch edit labels in this view and, also, sort the view by, for example, multiple fields like file name, class label, size, time, etc.
