Python 3.8.12
pandas 1.2.4

As you can see, the pandas version is a bit old. I had some dependencies issues with newer versions. So, I guess that the error can come from there.

Definitely the error is coming from the pandas version, I see that I'm using at least pandas>1.3.
I will check if I can make it compatible with it but else the solution will be to upgrade. I'll keep you posted!

Don't worry too much about it! I updated pandas and it is now importing progeny properly. Let us hope that I don't break many other things in my environment, but progeny must be there :P. Thanks!

Hi @alberto-valdeolivas,

I refactored the code of the omnipath functions so that is comptible with older versions of pandas, now it should work also with pandas 1.2.4.
You can install the latest version of decoupler by running:

pip install git+https://github.com/saezlab/decoupler-py
