Note that this same approach DOES work for DataExtension objects, but not for QueryDefinition objects.
QueryDefinition objects can be created just fine with soap_create, and the documentation states that they should support the delete method as well:

Sorry to be a bother, but is this the only place to go for support? It looks like development has stalled on these libraries since August.

Sorry for the troubles - these libraries have been neglected - working on changing that.
Also - you can utilize StackExchange - http://salesforce.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/marketing-cloud for future code issues you run into.
