Hi. Sorry for the slow reply. I missed the notification somehow.
The project was sidetracked briefly but there's been a recent flurry of discussion on IRC. If you're interested in getting involved feel free to jump into #salt or #salt-devel and hit up myself or ZenoTasedro. Otherwise, keep an eye on the issues and milestones for this project. We'll cut an alpha release as soon as basic functionality is working.
