Hi,
thanks for pointing this out.
We already thought about the different possibilities to handle this situation and are discussing these.
For better usability we would like to know what you as an user would expect?

I think, the user expects, that the next visible tab will be active and displayed.

An additional information: if you change the model in the above jsbin (visible : false ), UI5 already behaves correctly (only the second content is visible).
So: dynamically setting the attribute (after the initial load of the view) and pre-setting (before the initial load) should behave the same.
-> I'm not quite happy with the tag "enhancement"

The issue is fixed and will be available within the next patch 1.18.11.
We decided to switch to the first visible tab in case the selectedTab is set to visible(false). But only if the content was expanded.
