Hi,
your "fix" with "padding: 0 0.7rem" looks more broken/misaligned to me than the original appearance. Could it be that this issue depends on font sizes or zooming? Maybe you can describe it a little differently...
I think I understand how the px/em mixture allegedly causes the issue, I just don't see it. :-)

the issue is just that valueState shiftet the padding 3 pixels more to the left.
I added a picture.

Just cosmetic, but having a lots of fields triggering validation that is a remarkable effect.

My chrome show the plain issue without zooming (see picture).

I can see the same effect in firefox also.

Ok, got it, thanks. I logged this internally as 0120031469 0000601047 2014. It's really a minor cosmetic thing, so it may not have highest priority, but still thank you for reporting.

But why did you close this issue report? Don't click "Close and comment", but just "Comment" when the issue is still valid.
