Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I share this opinion, but I never changed the API. It might be the right time (sooner is better).
I made a branch (io). Could you check that it suits your needs?

That seems perfect for my needs, and it's actually what I did now, although in an external way.
But I should be able to distribute my script easily and so, I have to use the version on Pypi right now. But if you update the API, it would be really nice and I will update my script accordingly.
