or you can just define yourself which of your parameter values go to which input parameter name when you call the function:
pages.getInfo(fields=MyFieldList, page_ids=MyPageIdList)
I think, at least this works well in other code that I tried.
Sure, the list of parameters should conform to the published API, but one can be pretty robust with proper code.

this is actually a real issues (or I'm missing something here). In the API spec the "fields" parameter is actually required. Making a call using pages.getInfo(fields=[fieldlist], ....) comes back with "TypeError: getInfo() got an unexpected keyword argument 'fields' "

If you leave it out you get a 100 error from Facebook saying that it was expecting the fields parameter because it is required.

I patched init.py @ 391: ++ ('fields', list, []),

This now works for the way the function should be called then.

I faced the same error. I patched the init.py @ 399
