Sounds like some hiccup with windows/drivers when changing refresh rate of the screen

1. Are you able to change refresh rate directly in windows from 60hz to 120hz ? does it work correctly there ?
2. Did you try to do a clean install of both AMD and Nvidia drivers using AMD cleanup utility as explained in Troubleshooting ?
3. Do you have ASUS Smart Display Control installed and running ? If so - try to remove it, as it will also try to change refresh rate and interfere

1 I am able to change the refresh rate trough windows. But i noticed that after restarting my laptop the refresh rate setting in g helper isn't on auto any more but on 120.
2 The problem started after i did a clean driver install (had weird performance issues only had good fps on ultimate mode which whas fixed after rolling back to an older nvidia driver) i also installer amd adrenaline which i had deleted before.
3 i noticed when diagnosing this issue that if i ended a few asus things in task manager(asus smart display, hotplug controller and something else i forgot. the issue didnt happen.

Ps sorry for my english. It isn't my first languege.

I think i just found the problem. I just disabled amd display vari bright and it seems like the issue doesn't accuer any more.

i noticed when diagnosing this issue that if i ended a few asus things in task manager(asus smart display, hotplug controller and something else i forgot. the issue didnt happen.

If you still have Asus Smart Display running I would suggest to either uninstall it completely or go to windows Task Manager -> find it's task there, and disable it from autostart. This is a leftover from AC that does same thing as G-Helper when changing refresh rates. You can always install it later again if you plan to use AC.

Ok, glad to hear. Even tho vari-bright should not really affect anything :) but if it was - then good to know.

I had already uninstalled asus smart display but it still hapenned then. So it seems like the issue is with vari bright. Thanks for your support and making this awesome program👍🏼
