Thanks for making this issue. I haven't seen this before, are you able to reproduce in a test/code I could look at?

I can't reproduce it locally but it happens every time on the server the code's on.

The code that's being run is:

task :send_newly_active => :environment do |t, args|
  Account.all_newly_active.each do |a|
    PSG.logger.info "Got account #{a.id}, submitting activation event"
    Analytics.identify(
      user_id: a.id,
      traits: {
        email: a.email,
      }
    )
    Analytics.track(
      user_id: a.id,
      event: 'Activated'
    )
  end
  PSG.logger.info "About to flush analytics calls"
  Analytics.flush
  PSG.logger.info "Done flushing"
end

It's working whenever I run it locally including using the same version of ruby as the server is using where the task fails (2.0.0-p353).

interesting. what server (e.g. unicorn, puma, ...) and rails versions are you running?

The Rails version is 3.2.13 and it's using a puma server.

Running the rake task locally works fine, but just not on the other machine.
