You can use

- Fn::Join:
  - ':'
  - - arn
    - Ref: AWS::Partition
    - sqs
    - Ref: AWS::Region
    - Ref: AWS::AccountId
    - lambda-automation-errors

It should work since this will be substituted by CloudFront itself and not serverless (thus the slightly different syntax).
However, this feels like a workaround; ideally, I would like to use the syntax you mentioned.

Hopefully we will get the support for it soon.
