May be CSS override (by node-type-class) is enough for that?
from rpd.
We need this to support custom node-rendering in full potential. So, user should be able to render a node i.e. as a circle. (for example, for sebpiq/WebPd). The question may appear in inlet/outlet positioning, but I think it's that's for the first version it's not that important, they could be positioned above the replaced content. Or, node renderer could have handlers to return position by inlet/outlet index.

What's the proper way to position a lot of inlets/outlets for content-less nodes in Quartz layout?
from rpd.
A nice rule: If node has no def.name
, but has def.first
or def.always
, it's header-less. And, if it has def.name
, but has no def.first
or def.always
, it is content-less.
The problem here is that we fallback to type name if node has no name.
Also, all this stuff could be related to #135 (Collapsing node by clicking on header)
from rpd.
Relates to #165
from rpd.
Actually, using custom style (#165) allowed the style to postulate if node should be headless or contentless, see new RealPd style for the example.
