Makes neomutt extremely slow

It seems like it is caused by this specific line, as removing it makes the problem go away:

set index_format=" %zs %zc %zt %{!%d %b} . %-28.28L  %?M?(%1M)&  ? %?X?&·? %s"

But if I disable this line, then most of the theme also disappears.

I have further narrowed it down to this string: %?X?&·?

Yes, it's %X and started with Neomutt >=20211015. There's not much that can be done other than removing it.

In case it helps anyone:

I had this problem, and it was solved by removing ~/.cache/mutt (which was a file) and then recreating it as a directory ~/.cache/mutt. I don't know why that fixed it, but I didn't have to remove anything else. It's worth noting that I had header_cache and cache dirs set before this, and they were working fine before introducing this code base.
