my bad, this is working fine, I just needed to att the correct scope to shopify.app.toml:

scopes = "write_shipping"

It could be a different issue maybe.

It was! write_shipping was all I needed but I also needed to enable 'Address' in 'Protected customer fields' in the Shopify Partner portal for the app - plain 'Protected customer data' gets you country and city but not the rest of the address.

NB apparently this is working for others so it is likely something I'm doing wrong rather than a bug

I'm using the react hook version actually.

thanks, I tried using the react hook and that worked for me - because it led me to discover I had not set the necessary scope

Are you able to update the zip or address1 fields @TheSecurityDev? Asking because I can update some fields but not others

It's all working for me. I have the read_orders scope and that was enough for me. It could be a different issue maybe.

Hello, I'm trying to use the same hook but it doesn't work for me, could you give an example of how you are using it?
