Hi Hed.

Re 1 -- because these languages were direct duplicates (Futuna) or irreconcilably broken (Proto-Phil.). These were deleted.

Re 2 -- this package isn't really intended for public use as yet. Hence the documentation is lacking and outdated and things are being moved around a lot (when I get time). That functionality has been moved out into a new package

Re 3 & 4 -- multiple cognate classes are real things. Choosing the first one is losing the rest of the information. But, this is always going to be a problem with a distance measure so you'll have to chose what you prefer.

Re 2 No worries, we wrote something that does what we want and it's all good. We're just tweaking it now, but others can use it if they want too. I'll make Hedvig-style-childish-documentation

Re 3 Yes, indeed. It is not fun to do that, and we'd prefer doing something else :(
