Another idea would be to make people aware of this, by adding a line to the readme. Most people probably have Myth installed globally, as this it the described way to do it.

No, dependencies in Node are local. It's not even possible to require global dependencies.
I'm not gonna add it to the readme. This is basic Node and better documented elsewhere.

Thanks for the info, Sindre! So basically that means if I use grunt-myth, I better uninstall the global myth install to prevent confusion over the version in use.

I don't see why there would be confusion though. They're two separate things. Local dependencies never use global ones.
