@dcolens Right now docker-slim gets the docker info from the environment variable. TLS verification is controlled by the DOCKER_TLS_VERIFY variable By default, DOCKER_TLS_VERIFY is set to "1". If you set it to an empty string ("") then docker-slim shouldn't validate the cert.
I can add a "convenience" command line option to override the DOCKER_TLS_VERIFY env variable. Is this what you prefer or are you ok with setting the DOCKER_TLS_VERIFY variable yourself?

The latest release (v1.13) should provide what you need. If you using the Docker environment variables you can add "--tls-verify=false" when you run "docker-slim". Take a look at the Docker Connect Options section in the README file for more details. If you find any problems let me know (and open a bug if you can).
