Looks like the following line in ~/tasks/Functions-client/request.js got pushed down in the order of execution during the following commit: 0bd7282

Line139 is the line in question:
const request = await generateRequest(requestConfig, taskArgs)

This call needs to move up to Line 90 above the following:
// Estimate the cost of the request

I think we need to make a few changes in order for this logic to work for both single Functions requests and Automation Functions requests.

I have filed an internal ticket to resolve.
