I agree with this, eventually. My current thought is to get this working for how our projects are generally setup. When we have a new project I want to just setup base12, not have to also setup several other pieces. This helps me visualize how everything is working together and keeps everything up to date better. It also keeps us from optimizing and spending time on the process of pulling these items back in until we really need to.
As we get to a more stable spot, we can focus more on the process we will use to piece things together and start pulling ou pieces from the default package.
