This is possible by iterating over each css rule in the styleSheet object, adding to string and saving to local storage, then (on a subsequent page load) checking local storage and using background page to insert css. Style gets injected after ~30ms which is much faster - the problem is that we still have to set dataset attibutes for each element before CSS changes are visible, so this was pretty pointless
from chromell-2.0.
