Are you using Breakout Server or the node js server?

Also try using Chrome or Safari and see if you still get the error. I'll test with Firefox 11 later tonight.

This issues has been fixed in Breakout v0.1.2.beta.

BTW, the performance of websockets in Firefox (any version) with a high message traffic like analog values broadcasting is a joke :). However in Chrome and Safari the performance is very, very well. Maybe we can hope Mozilla release one day some Firefox version with a performance improvement in this area.

That's interesting because I've found on mobile that Firefox has the best websocket support... guess they need to catch up on their desktop version. Also currently Breakout is sending strings via websockets. In the future when Chrome, Safari and Firefox support sending ArrayBuffers performance should greatly improve.
