If it helps, heres the output of the not_if:
seinfo --protocol=tcp --portcon=1514
portcon tcp 1024-32767 system_u:object_r:unreserved_port_t:s0
looks like the not_if, which the output says is:
not_if "seinfo --protocol=tcp --portcon=1514 | awk -F: '$(NF-1) !~ /reserved_port_t$/ {print $(NF-1)}' | grep -q ^"
only_if { #code block }
would not match either reserved_port_t or unreserved_port_t. Not sure if that has any relevance.

Hi.
I'm assuming this is on an existing server.
Could you try and recreate this on a fresh VM? I wonder why the not_if
detection logic didn't catch.
Also, what's the output of seinfo
on any other port?
Also2, which OS?

Thanks for the reply. We figured it out. We were using a t2.micro, and apparently were running out of memory. It would help if there was a more helpful error message, but there is no issue with this cookbook.

All I have to work with is what semanage gives me...
Happy you have it solved though
