@cyberswat that is expected, because Ubuntu 14.04 installs Apache 2.4, which is not supported yet. This is part of the on going work on the https://github.com/onehealth-cookbooks/apache2/tree/COOK-3900 branch. Please check out that branch and help us finalize that work if you are looking for Ubuntu 14.04 platform support.

Good to know. I ran across it because I'm actually about to submit a pull request that converts web_app into a real resource provider per #178 ... have all of the spec tests working and am getting into the integration tests. Pull request soon.

@cyberswat we will work on #178 after we support apache 2.4 and do some SSL updates. See http://lists.opscode.com/sympa/arc/chef/2014-07/msg00382.html for our current thinking and rough roadmap.

You are welcome to take a first stab at doing that, but I recommend doing that off of the COOK-3900 branch. Just keep in mind that we won't be ready to integrate that until we have pushed all the other work out.
