If we solve issue 45, this issue would also be solved code-wise. If we can
place items in containers, the savegame code will persist them as it is
implemented now. We might want do indicate this in a more intuitive way in the
map(s) however.

The difference between normal containers and the vault should be that the vault
is available in every city in your room, where you sleep.

It would be a mess to manually carry the items to a new town.

This means all cities should have a common location (eg grass field near town
sign) or building (town hall), where the vault/stash/depot could be.

Using the droplist as base would work, expect the container list is rewritten
upon each vault exit. Simply put "drop chance" as 100.

IMO it should be where the bed is.

Very annoying its not possible to edit your own comments, even for a limited

Hmmm, I like it. Alway wanted a home to put my stuff despite Vacor's hideout
looking like a Dragon's den and my backpack weighing 3.8ton, not to mention all
the other little drops.

Few suggestions. The persistant drop lcation should be somewhere the Character
(not player) would logically return, ie tavern, roadside campsite, bank, lair.
Most existing restpoints would suit as a store room when my back pack fills up.

The drop chance should not always be 100 though. If a player leaves something
behind there should sometimes be a chance of theft, decay, forgetting where he
put it? The more a character pays for a room the more secure it should be, and
the level of security should be garunteed before sale. Inkeeper "It's a
comfortably secure room. I can garuntee you possessions will be safe." (100%)
or "Look pal, it's a bed out of the rain, not a bank." (60%)

Perhaps in the bigger cities there will be whole houses for sale?
