Preface to the second edition: at the time when this book was first written, information theory was just beginning to be known.

Important to note that we're looking into the second edition with changes after I. C from the same author.

awesome but static and deterministic of course it's a slide from another time, there was no information theory back then, nor control theory, not even the computers that today we take for granted.

since this is the connection between the olds cybernetics and concepts about neural networks and the cortex seeking for balance in the form of the homestat we need to open again its pages and feed from it, the fact that use a deterministic point of view it's no more a point against it but something that give us contrast.
