It's actually still targeting draft 3 I believe. The template code is ancient and hasn't been updated in a long time. However, support for RFC 6570 is right at the very top of my TODO list for the gem. I just haven't had much time to work on it lately.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it or not yet (so apologies if this is a repeat), but we're collecting test cases at http://github.com/uri-templates/uritemplate-test
Also, when you do get it up to RFC level, please ping me and I'll update the implementations list on the wiki.
