I wrote some tests using the new runtime API and it's so clean that not only do you not need the testing infrastructure, it actually just adds confusion. Instead of migrating, I am going to reword this issue to simply provide a way to use the new runtime API to start a root workflow from a given state and a tree snapshot (see square/workflow-kotlin#31) which is all we need to write integration tests.
The existing WorkflowTester infra can be moved to internal codebase for now, and then deprecated probably.
Update: Crap, this means there's no way to automatically test for render side effects by double-rendering.
