I think we should only merge the PR when 4 is released as we should bump the peer dependency 4.0 >=.

In the meantime you can use this:

This is still an issue using @material-ui/[email protected]. Based on the checked PropType now being limited to bool, the recommendation by @bard seems appropriate.

I'm happy to submit a PR if you'd like.

This will presumably require a major version bump due to the breaking change.
