There is no memory leak because of usage of WriteFrame method but the video file doesn't support module then 15k frames in. In consequence the video recording function will split the recording in many video files, each will have maximum 12k frames.

it is a memory leak - proven created a separate recording program (did it for opencv v1 and v2), based on my research most probably the cause is ffmpeg library, v2.8.
I will start to recompile ffmpeg library (for v3.1) and later also the mcpi (kodi) keeping the same version.

Issue solved compiling and considering OpenCV version 3.2.0 in the picam and clue environment.
