So this was actually pretty simple, which I am very happy about, because that gives me a feeling that the revised approach uses a good model for tokenization, although of course not perfect yet.

But I think I have solved this on the issue-21 branch. Can you confirm?

When testing with the issue-24 branch the first example is fine now, but with the second one the script gets officious:

As you see it did partly the same thing before, but only outside of the \edtext which obviously didn't bother reledmac. Not having the double \sameword inside, reledmac compiles to

1 my phrase³³ ] her sentence

etc
