There is one major issue with mForm.Element.Select, and that is that if the original element or any parent element has style="display:none", sizes can't get calculated properly (because mootools element.getDimensions({computeSize:true}); will return 0 for all sizes) and therefore the custom select field looks kinda destroyed.
This seems to be the problem in your example, as an mBox.Modal has display:none when it is being created.

Im not sure if I can find a proper solution for that, I tried a couple thinks like absolute positions, delays, etc. but they all didn't work properly.

I might try to find a CSS solution some time, but for now all you really can do is find a hack to make it work :)
