Checkout https://github.com/steida/este, App boilerplate which uses gulp-este, which uses gulp-git :-)
Now gulp-este uses working 0.3.0 dependency. Update it to 0.4.0.

How to test it.
clone steida/este
npm install
gulp bump - it calls https://github.com/steida/gulp-este/blob/master/tasks/bump.coffee task. Don't be scared from CoffeeScript, you will see JavaScript in node_modules/gulp-este/tasks/bump.js

I just found the error, I missed sending a callback in a write function...
The .on 'end' was firing, but the push was not sending the data to it's flush function.

Update to 0.4.1, it should work now.
