How do you mean it's not compatible? There is an "exit to launcher" option as well as the key combination "L+R+Start+Select", which should be functionally the same. There have been reports of crashing when doing soft-reset, which is a sign that I may be scraping against the memory limits of the ds.

Well, I was trying to use my R4's (using Wood R4) soft reset combination, which is L+R+A+B+Down. I didn't know the soft reset combination was different in Gameyob. Maybe the emulator's custom soft reset combination is overriding the flash card's combination, because L+R+A+B+Down works everywhere except Gameyob.

Besides that... L+R+Start+Select is a nearly impossible combination to pull off, at least for me. I can't press Start and Select at the same time with just my left or right hand because when I position one finger over start, my thumb can't get to select (and vice versa)...so I have to do it with just my thumbs. However, if I'm holding L, I can't get my thumb to Start or Select. Well, I can, but it actually hurts my hand to do so and is much slower because my hands are just too small for that kind of a gap. (Sorry for being nitpicky)

Is there a way to change the key combination, maybe?

If L+R+Start+Select is too uncomfortable the "exit to launcher" option works just as well. If Wood R4 has its own system for soft resetting then I'd need some more information on how to support that... does Wood's soft resetting work both with homebrew and commercial games?

Wood R4's soft reset works fine for me on R4i Gold 3DS (on a DSi), and I'm the one who actually put in the quit to launcher function. Are you sure you have soft reset in homebrew enabled? There's an option for that in the Wood settings.

L+R+Sel+Start on me is power off
it is not soft reset but shutdown the ds

You need a soft-reset compatible launcher. For instance, hbmenu allows for soft-reset, while akaio does not.

I haven't gotten any soft-resetting crash reports in a while so I'll just close this.
