What are the files in nbproject for?
Are they to support NetBeans using st-util as a gdbserver, or are they so
that the code for stlink can be developed with NetBeans,. both?If you give me some direction, I could try to write a document for you.

I actually propose that the netbeans project files, and the eclipse project files be removed. The project is only maintained to be built via make, and I think it's just extra noise to have the project files for the various IDEs in the repository. Thoughts/objections?

I am ok with that, unless someone propose to seriously maintain the
other build environment.

Regardless as the original request, I will try and put together a blog post/screen cast showing how to use netbeans with stlink to do source level debugging with gdb/gdbserver. Real Soon Now!
