Hi @pikurasa , I tried the fourth project and I was able to see purple circle form. I tested the entire space and line on the grand staff, and everything seemed to be accurate. However, I'm not sure if I fully understand your point. Could you please provide more information base on a sample project so that I can better understand the concept?
Thank you

Ok, that one works. Perhaps because it uses purple instead of black.
Among the ones that do not work are:
- https://musicblocks.sugarlabs.org/index.html?id=1620418204008086&run=True
- https://musicblocks.sugarlabs.org/index.html?id=1619896155140477&run=True
- https://musicblocks.sugarlabs.org/index.html?id=1628013480970444&run=True (and the playback returns the wrong pitches. It could be a problem with my logic, but I think it was working at the time I published that blog)

They should draw black circles for the notes.
Some of them should also output a number based on a given zero-point, such as E4 = 0, which utilizes the "set pitch number offset block."
Does that info help?

The issue may be in that set shade
is not working within a note value block.
Here is a simplified test: https://musicblocks.sugarlabs.org/index.html?id=1682279308495878&run=True
from musicblocks.
After carefully examining the scene, I noticed the formation of white circles on the staff, with corresponding pitch numbers inscribed in white on each circle. These elements harmonize with the background color of the staff.
to confirm this, I set the hue to 1 and show size to 20 in the first project
I mean this https://musicblocks.sugarlabs.org/index.html?id=1620334055560679&run=True
and got this๐
But I noticed some discrepancies in the pitches of this project๐

the playback return wrong notes , I will look into this

This is not yet a solution as it toggles both the text and the circle block.
Did you see my test project? It's a simpler way to see what is going on wrt switching colors.

Yeah, it changes to the wrong octave upon playpack. At the time I wrote the project, however, it worked.

@Emilance Have you worked any more on this? Do you have any further questions?
from musicblocks.
Apparently it was a logic error. A corrected version is here: https://musicblocks.sugarlabs.org/index.html?id=1686481163542800&run=True
from musicblocks.
For the record, less a logic error than a regression in the amount of graphics code that can run inside of a note block. Moving the graphics outside of the note was the main fix.
