The first step is to disable TAB (and BACKSPACE) from being captured by the browser.

Not sure if you can enable tabbing in a user-select field. But the arrow keys work once the selection list is opened.

When I have the number argument engaged, down arrow only allows me to change the number once before escaping from the engagement.

Some button that allows for the functionality associated with tabbing would be nice--even if it is not the tab button (ctl-n/p if we want emacs-style).

In the Python version, you can tab from block to block on the menus and
then use enter to select a block. I think the arrow keys are about all we
can do for the pop-down menus.

I think the arrow keys are about all we can do for the pop-down menus.

I like being able to up/down arrow to change parameters minutely, so I am tempted to have something like ctl+up/down for tabbing feature... downside is people are not going to know this until they are told about it.

...but once they know, they will be totally liberated...
