gdp-1-project's Issues

Consultant Liked

The NW branding on the UI was right on point for one of the clients desires. When possible use white and green in the color scheme or at the very least as accents or backgrounds.

Leader Board UI

Need to have the name of the competition

Functional (which is ok early), but not exciting.

Would like to see score out of max possible.

Challenges UI

Probably want to display more than the challenge name (Start date for example.)

Use consistent terminology. Settle on competition or challenge and then use consistently

Are there other challenges?

I view social distancing as a feature of this app as long as we don't have to stand next to each other to get the points.

The big challenges I see (aside from GPS) are: Specifying a location, handling data, and creating/managing teams.

The ERD doesn't look consistent

I am not a database expert, but use of id's is not consistent. Not sure if all fields are needed. E.g. Do you need a date for invitation rejected, or date left the team. Do you need an explicit association for captain.

I am sure there is more that your DB expert (Dr Case) can address.

Acceptance Criteria

When I see acceptance criteria, I am thinking of a list of features/performance marks that the app has to meet in order for the money to be released to the developers. These are something else.

Cost estimate is confusing

There are hours per week determined, but it doesn't look like they transferred correctly to the cost estimate. There are lines in the cost estimate with hours but no billing.

I always wanted the hourly billing rate up front.

Without better numbers, I hesitate to look closer, but my sense is that you have not included enough time for implementation and testing.

User Stories/Acceptance Criteria need work

A user story is related to a role in the app. Acceptance Criteria need to measurable objects.

Example: A Data Developer is not role in the app.
Example: A given task for the development of the ERD has been finished is not specific.

Setting UI

Only put setting in settings. Preferred volume, nickname, etc.

Account information could go here.

Log out should not be there

Purpose can be more focused.

Purposes are why's, not what's.
Example: What - build a team. Why - form bonds/meet other students. You can give both, but don't leave out the why.
