Ok, it looks like 3.0.1 was incorrectly compiled with Angular 5. You have 2 options at this point:

1. Work around the 3.0.0 bug. If I remember correctly that error message doesn't actually break any functionality.

2. Upgrade to Angular 5.x and the latest ngx-graph version. Upgrading to Angular 5 was really easy for me - there are only a couple search and replace changes to make.

unfortunately 3.0.0 breaks after aot build.

seems it can't build links.
