@stealth35 how did you got Symfony2 code source ? using msysgit ?

if yes, i think you should change this option during installation or using commandline : http://help.github.com/dealing-with-lineendings/

With that option (by default) git convert all unix/macosx ending lines to windows ending line, so your assertions are failing.
Can you confirm ?
