Modifying this issue to match the newest menu layout (Tools -> Macros). I think it would be preferable to have a menu below Macros that says "Recent macros" with a sub-menu of the last 10 or so, sorted by last use (recording or playback date).

This is waiting on my XML engine rework, as I will be moving all preferences away from INI and into XML format. Once that's done, I will have a better mechanism available for tracking last-used macros. (I don't want to implement it in INI format just to rework it later.)

With macros successfully converted to XML, this feature became a whole lot more probable. I'm sketching it in near the top of the 6.2 roadmap.

I should really stop claiming roadmap dates that I never intend to meet. This would be a nice addition, but it's not immediately on my radar. Once work on drawing tools has wrapped I may look at a number of macro improvements, including this.
