As an option in a config file that can be turned on and off? I can see it like that.
I had thought of this too, but realized the use of OS X as a server is so low percentage wise that the audience is minuscule.
However, I bet the port to OS X would work pretty nicely on BSD servers. A lot of the commands we're looking at (df, du, etc) just have different flags on BSD. I think where things get really different are for any of the modules looking at specific LSB file paths or the /proc system at all.
Good luck on your fork!

As mentioned above OSX servers are too rare for their to be much of an audience for this feature but there is no reason not to have it so good luck with its development.

All forks / pull-requests to address OSX support are welcome and encouraged.
However, for OSX support, I am assuming that there will be significant code changes/additions. If that is the case, it will need to be a separate branch on this repo (if a PR is submitted). We can put a link in the README to download the OSX version/branch of the repo.
I would be happy to create/merge different support branches (versions) for this application in several languages/stacks/support ranges.
