It works now but when I try from the postinstall script, the GUI spawns but the entire window is grey. I tried to run debug build but couldn't open the devtools nor could I right click. I don't know how to reproduce without the post install script.

I also tried calling relaunch from the rust side and the app just exits without it launching again.

If anyone in the future needs this, the solution that works is here

sudo -u $SUDO_USER gtk-launch obscura >/dev/null &2>/dev/null & disown

It is very important to redirect stdout and stderr to /dev/null.
