Well that makes sense. For instance for us we need to mount a pkcs12 certificate to comunicate with the Brazilian Fiscal Authority (using requests-pkcs12). They also use wildcards extensively so we need to override how the response is parsed... but yes a dataclass Config would make things cleaner I believe. Other than that as usual kudos for the terrific work with xsdata!

Honestly, I never thought people would subclass the config, I will revert that part

Also a dumb question: why did you separate the Config class from the Client class at all? It seems one config is always bound to a client and never used elsewhere so I wonder the why.

Apparently for allowing people to extend the config, and then forget all about it :) Any suggestions to improve the API are welcomed!
